Atkuade means “gather” in the Catawba language. Swing by the museum for a Sunday afternoon celebrating Indigenous arts and the intersection of modern and traditional. Inspired by featured exhibition Resurgence and Renaissance: Art of the Catawba Nation Since 1973 and in collaboration with Catawba citizens, the CMA welcomes artists of various forms and mediums to share their talents and stories with museum visitors.
